Your responsibilities:
This position will report directly to the Director Business Development and will be responsible for identifying, researching, and pursing new clients that align with the INIT suite of products. Primary duties will focus on new customer engagement and closing new business through the suite of the INIT product lines - by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business. Travel is estimated between 50% - 75% covering the Australia and New Zealand region, working at customer sites, conferences, exhibitions and workshops (including international travel). Responsibilities include:
- Targeted acquisition of new customers while introducing INIT, its services and products
- Maintenance and expansion of information and contact networks to our current and potential customers as well as identification of key contacts from industry and government
- Supporting our existing customers in the technically demanding field of telematics and fare collection systems for public transport companies in Australia and New Zealand
- Regular customer visits for requirement analysis, work on tenders and coordination of solution design
- Close cooperation with the Director of Business Development and the local Managing Director as well as our technical teams at INIT headquarters in Germany to match customer requirements with the possibilities of our modular systems
- Working closely with the proposal team to produce winning proposals
- Analysis of customer and market requirements for public transport
- Representation of INIT at trade fairs/road shows
Your profile:
- Degree in Business and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
- Intelligent transportation systems background and/or generally sound knowledge of the public transport market in Australia/New Zealand
- Experience in analysing and developing market strategies, gathering requirements and identifying partners and subcontractors
- Keen interest in technical solutions and an understanding of technical system descriptions
- Team player, attitude of ownership and desire for continuous improvement
- Excellent organizational skills und hands-on mentality
- Computer literacy, including MS Office suite and customer relationship management systems
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Available for regular business travel within Australia, New Zealand and international
