Your responsibilities:

  • Management of technical aspects of projects in the UK with a focus on system design, integration, configuration, test, acceptance and compliance with customers’ requirements and contract
  • Management and technical coordination of internal system engineering resources, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve the project’s schedule, functional, risk and cost objectives
  • Support overall project management with status reviews for both the customer and the executive team
  • Support the tendering process through the proposal and design phase jointly with the development / delivery teams in our head office. This may include travel to customers in the UK, Germany and other locations as required
  • Support customers throughout the entire customer life-cycle as part of the customer account team
  • When required liaise with the proposals manager to arrange and negotiate scope and price for changes and amendments to projects
  • Support new business initiatives such as sales presentations/demonstrations and contract negotiations
  • Provide assistance to the INIT technical support teams
  • Support the project managers in technical proposal and design preparation and/or sales presentations/demonstrations for new business initiatives
  • Close cooperation with the subject matter experts of the global project team

Knowledge/Skills required:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline
  • Understanding in the areas of database systems and IT communications
  • Familiarity with project management techniques and tools
  • Familiarity with transport technologies desirable
  • Experience with XML, SQL, and JSON
  • Very good technical, organizational, coordination and communication skills
  • Willingness for occasional business travel
