INIT at ITS World Congress

11 - 15 October 2021, Hamburg

The ITS World Congress will take place from 11 to 15 October in Hamburg and focuses on smart mobility and the digitalization of transport. 15,000 visitors and 3,500 international delegates from more than 100 countries will join the event. At the DBSV (Deutscher Blinden- und Sehbehindertenverband) shared booth, INIT will present its award-winning travel assistance system ASSISTIVEtravel which supports not only visually, but also hearing and mobility impaired passengers.

The ASSISTIVEtravel app offers needs-based support at every stage of the journey. To being with, users define their specific needs in their profile settings. Based on these settings, the app activates various functions and adapts the user interface accordingly.

The German Passenger Transportation Act (Personenbeförderungsgesetz) will require barrier-free accessibility in public transport. The common goal is to achieve accessibility of public transport services for all groups of society, considering in particular the specific needs of people with mobility needs. ASSISTIVEtravel makes a major contribution in achieving genuine inclusion.

More information about our travel assistance system ASSISTIVEtravel can be found here.
