Keynote Speaker

INIT is pleased to introduce Christina O'Claire, Director of the Mobility Division at King County Metro as our keynote speaker for the INIT User Group Meeting.

As Director of the Mobility Division and chair of the ORCA Joint Board, Christina had a major role in the implementation of the newly launched ORCA fare collection system.*

Christina oversees the planning for the fixed-route system and integration of all modes of transportation, ridership growth, and development of new mobility markets. She leads the agency's mobility transformation advancing social equity, universal accessibility, and enabling people to travel farther, faster, and more easily through King County.

*The ORCA fare system by INIT spans multiple modes of transportation and was delivered by a seven-agency Regional Team: Community Transit, Everett Transit, King County Metro, Kitsap Transit, Pierce Transit, Sound Transit and Washington State Ferries.

Special Workshops

The E-Fare Exchange will provide an open forum for discussion with fellow transit professionals on the latest fare solutions and best practices. This session provides case studies and expert insight into ways you can better manage your fare operations and improve services for your passengers.

The ITCS Tech Talk will bring professional users and ITCS champions together to share best practices, collaborate, and discover the latest functionalities of ITCS nextGen. This is your opportunity to learn from your transit colleagues and contribute new ideas to the developers for INIT's Intermodal Transport Control System, MOBILE-ITCS.

The E-Mobililty Forum will allow you to hear from experts about the strategic planning and operation of electric vehicles. You will have the opportunity to learn from other transportation agencies that are ahead of the curve in the successful deployment of their e-bus fleets and hear from INIT experts to help answer those challenging questions related to planning, charging, and operating electric vehicles.

COVID-19 Policy

INIT is committed to safely meeting together, and as such, will be following all state and local safety guidelines. All attendees to the User Group Meeting are required to show proof of vaccination at on-site registration, or a photo of a negative COVID-19 test result administered no sooner than September 16. 

Proof of vaccination can be verified by a CDC vaccination card, digital image of your CDC card or official immunization record, or a passport type that stores your vaccination record such as CLEAR or any other app. 

Attendees may also be required to follow mask policies of local transit agencies while on technical tour visits. If required, masks will be provided by INIT.
