Hikkaduwa Verein e.V., a private non-profit charity organisation, supports the education of needy children and students in Sri Lanka that depend on financial assistance and, otherwise would not have a chance for comprehensive schooling or the potential for a good future.
INIT supports charity work in Sri Lanka
Affected by natural disaster, joblessness or other circumstances, many families have been living in conditions that are unacceptable even under Sri Lankan circumstances, and where schoolwork at home is simply impossible. In an emergency situation, INIT has donated € 4,000 to replace an out-of-repair ramshackle hut with a more reasonable home. With similar donations made in the past, INIT has significantly contributed to the organisation’s programme to restore or acquire homes for the most needy families.
