Every Christmas, INIT selects special projects or charitable organisations and supports them with a donation. This year, INIT has decided to support the association Engineers Without Borders – KIT e.V. (EWB). Students in various – mainly technical faculties – at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) have formed an association in order to put their expertise gained from their studies into practice to benefit people in third world countries.

INIT supports Engineers Without Borders – KIT
The INIT donation will go towards a project in a village in India where the construction of a community centre with a photovoltaic system and a small biogas system will immensely, and above all sustainably, improve the quality of life of the inhabitants. The community centre will act as a new social focus for the village and in the future will also be used to offer seminars on sustainable agriculture, healthcare, and women’s rights. With its donation, INIT wants to express its appreciation of the KIT students’ commitment.
