Once again, the CyberForum in Karlsruhe has recognised promising business ideas and innovative start-ups in the IT and high-tech industries. As part of the CyberChampions Awards presented in the building of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Trade and Industry, five young companies were pleased to receive prize money of up to EUR 5,000.

And the winner is ...

The highlight of the evening was again the presentation of the INIT innovation prize. The award comes with EUR 5,000 and focusses on products with an especially high level of innovation. This year's winner is otego: Its founders are working on thermo-electrical generators (TEG) which can extract energy from even the smallest heat sources with no maintenance required. Thanks to the use of conductor plastics that they developed themselves, the TEGs can rapidly be developed for mass applications.

Cyberforum e.V. in Karlsruhe has exceeding a count of 1,000 members and has now established itself as the largest regionally active high-tech business network in Europe. The members represent 23,000 job positions in total. INIT is a long-standing member.
