Workshops and Open Technology Sessions

INIT offered the clients numerous product focus sessions and a comprehensive product exhibition. For this purpose, the INIT tower turned out to be the perfect location. Because it offered many more employees the possibility to exchange with the customers and to continue the discussions in a relaxed atmosphere at the after work party. Besides, they were able to show the guests the rooftop terrace and enjoy the view over Karlsruhe and the northern Black Forest.

Dr. Jürgen Greschner was very pleased to welcome Ascan Egerer, managing director of VBK Karlsruhe as well as Ulrich Sieg, member of the supervisory board of init AG.

In several workshops, the participants could examine and discuss current technical and operative questions with colleagues from other public transport companies and INIT experts. In open technology sessions they were given the opportunity to introduce their own topics.

The impressive programme was further upgraded by the highly appreciated best practice reports from customers. Special thanks go to Detlev Teichmann, who talked about the makeover of the ticketing system of Bremer Straßenbahn AG, Dr. Christian Kindinger, who informed the participants about ITCS developments in Wuppertal, and Trevor Findley, who presented the ID-based ticketing system in Portland, which will set a benchmark not only in the US.

With the modular meeting concept, INIT struck a chord with the clients. This way, every participant had the opportunity to tailor his or her individual programme, what affected the assessments in a highly positive manner.
