VENDmobile: Getting the right ticket quickly, even on buses and trains

Getting the right ticket quickly and comfortably is still a major demand from passengers to their transport providers. How this easy access can be accomplished with a mobile device is shown by INIT with VENDmobile.

Features

  • Allows payment via bank and credit card, smart card, smartphone or cash
  • Capacitive touchscreen
  • Easy to read even in bright sunlight
  • Intuitive interface
  • Processes bank notes and coins
  • Accessible to people with disabilities

VENDmobile is a ticket vending machine for use in vehicles. It supports all modern payment methods: smart card, smartphone, cash, and of course, bank and credit card via both a plug-in or a contactless credit card reader. Depending on the payment method, the customers will then receive their ticket on their smart card or printed as a paper ticket by a high-performance thermal printing unit.

VENDmobile features a 38,1 cm [15 ''] colour screen with touchscreen functionality. The touchscreen can be used even while wearing gloves. The TFT colour display provides optimal contrast – even in bright sunlight.

An intuitive interface and clear presentation of the different fares available make it easy even for out-of-town passengers to quickly identify and purchase the ticket they need. This also applies to people with special mobility requirements. With the appropriate mounting, VENDmobile meets the European PRM-TSI accessibility standard.
