Earnings in the first half of the year well above target

Karlsruhe, 4 August 2014.

The first half of 2014 ended with surprisingly strong earnings growth for init innovation in traffic systems AG (ISIN DE 0005759807). Based on the preliminary figures EBIT exceeded EUR 6.4m (previous year: EUR 4.2m), which is well above target. This was due to an increase in the number of hardware deliveries, cost savings and positive currency effects.
At the end of June revenues of EUR 43.9m (previous year: EUR 37.1m) also exceeded expectations.

For the full year, the Managing Board continues to expect revenues of between EUR 103m and EUR 107m and EBIT of between EUR 17m and EUR 19m. However, this assumes that orders can be processed immediately as in the first half of the year and that the exchange rate does not deteriorate.
