INIT Innovative Informatikanwendungen in Transport-, Verkehrs- und Leitsystemen GmbH a wholly owned subsidiary of init innovation in traffic systems AG (ISIN DE 0005759807) is planning to expand its participation in the iris-GmbH from 49 to 74.5 percent. At present, the negotiation talks take place together with the associates of iris-GmbH. Moreover, this participation is still subject to the approval of Managing Board and Supervisory Board of init AG.
The global specialist in sensor systems for automatic passenger counting operates in a growth market. In fiscal 2015 with approximately 80 employees, the iris-GmbH generated revenues of EUR 14.6 million and earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of EUR 2.4 million. The company shall continue to operate independently in its market segment and supply alongside the init also other companies with its currently superior sensor technology.
