INIT will bring its "We Move Communities" campaign to the APTA TRANSform Conference & EXPO, October 4–7 in Chicago, inviting attendees to experience how people and technology come together to make public transit safer, smarter and more connected.

At Booth #1061, the focus will be on what makes the everyday transit journeys possible. Starting with the people making critical decisions behind the scenes and the technology helping agencies keep service moving.

CEO Exchanges

Throughout EXPO, INIT will host Executive Exchanges led by CEO Carl Commons and President Andy Singh. Conversations with transit executives from across North America will explore the challenges facing their communities, today's operational priorities, and the roles technology and partnerships play in what comes next. 

But “We Move Communities” extends beyond technology. Attendees are invited to take a Polaroid and add it to INIT's Community Wall, creating a visual celebration of the people who keep public transit moving. 

Community Giveback

Attendees can also vote for one of three Chicago-area nonprofits as part of INIT's community giveback. On Wednesday, October 7 at 10:30 a.m., INIT will announce how its $10,000 community donation will be distributed among the three participating nonprofits based on attendee votes. Representatives from the organizations will join INIT at Booth #1061 for a ceremonial check presentation and media photo opportunity.

Tech Experience Stations

Visitors can also take part in live Experience Stations highlighting technology across the transit ecosystem, including fare collection, operations control and dispatching, automatic passenger counting, charge management, vehicle health monitoring and other cloud-based applications. Featured sessions will explore next-generation fare collection and how intelligent operations management can improve service reliability, streamline dispatching, and deliver more accurate passenger information.
